THE CHALLENGE

The client needed a reliable way to prove the origin and ethical sourcing of wool used in luxury garments. However, limited traceability across the supply chain made it difficult to track material from individual farms through processing and manufacturing stages. This lack of end-to-end visibility reduced transparency, increased compliance risk, and limited the ability to confidently communicate provenance to consumers and partners.

THE APPROACH

We developed a wool provenance chain using distributed ledger technology (DLT) to securely track material across the entire journey from farm to finished luxury garment. The approach established an immutable, end-to-end record of provenance data across multiple supply-chain stages, ensuring traceability, data integrity, and alignment with ethical sourcing requirements.

THE OUTCOME

Ultamately the client will achieve full visibility of wool provenance from farm to arm. The DLT-based solution enables transparent, verifiable sourcing, strengthened ethical supply-chain practices and increased confidence in communicating product origin to internal stakeholders and end consumers.
